# Disclosure

Disclosure is an additional Mimic AI setup tab. It lets you automatically tell fans when they're chatting with AI.

{% hint style="info" %}
Note: Disclosure is optional and does not affect activation progress. For the required setup parts, see Persona Setup and Tone of Voice. For an overview of the feature, see the Mimic AI article.
{% endhint %}

### Why Disclosure Exists

In some regions, the law requires that a person is told when they're communicating with an AI-based agent (for example, under the EU AI Act). Disclosure lets you meet this requirement automatically. Whether to enable it is entirely up to you.

### Notify Fans They're Chatting with AI

The Notify fans they're chatting with AI toggle controls the feature. It is off by default.

When the toggle is on, the fan receives a notice that they're now chatting with an AI agent. This notice is sent automatically every time Mimic AI is enabled in a chat, before the conversation starts.

The disclosure notice is a separate message, sent outside the normal Mimic AI message flow.

### Notification Text

The Disclosure tab holds the text of the disclosure notice — the message the fan sees before Mimic AI begins the conversation.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.onlymonster.ai/mimic-ai/disclosure.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
